spring comes early
Lajla, Robin and I are making fuzzy cherry blossoms for the yarnbombing fundraiser at Historic Joy Kogawa House. You can take a field trip and see the blossoms. The cherry tree, which Canadian author Joy Kogawa made famous in her book "Naomi's Tree," will be resplendent in woolly blossoms, open for public viewing on March 6, 2011. The woolly blossoms will be in place until the sap begins to run, when the tree produces its own blossoms. The yarnbombing event is being organized to raise awareness for the writer-in-residence program hosted by Historic Joy Kogawa House Society.
You can follow the links to find out how to contribute some blossoms of your own.
